Connection to Curriculum & Classroom Learning:
I think Ebook's are a great tool to implement into the classroom at any grade. For my next practicum, i am in a Grade 1 classroom, which I am really excited about. I found out that I will be teaching the Local Community Social Studies unit, and ideas for the unit are starting to come about. I think making an Ebook as a culminating task would be a great idea. Specifically, the book would be an A to Z book based on community helpers. Each student would receive a letter, and they would be responsible for picking a job that they think best represents that letter. For example, V could be Veterinarian. The students would then write a brief job description and draw a picture that resembles that community profession.
