My TPK Journey

Reflection:

In order to complete this assignment, I found that some skills were essential to complete this assignment. I feel that in order to use Sliderocket, I needed to be extremely patient because the program was tedious at times. It was easy to add slides to a presentation, and was very similar to PowerPoint. I liked how you were able to save the assignment online, and were able to access it from any computer that has an Internet connection. personally, I think Zoe had us do this assignment to indicate that there are web tools available to people to use that incorporates the use of different strategies. As well, I think Zoe had us do this assignment bit by bit in order for us students to not be overwhelmed and stressed when trying to complete the assignment. Although this assignment was meant to be done over a multitude of weeks, I did not understand this until last week's class, and ended up doing the entire assignment at once. This could be an indication as to why I was somewhat frustrated when I was completing the task.

In regards to TPACK,I believe that we were learning how to intertwine different types of learning into the learning environment. For example, on my second slide, the Venn diagram reveals the pedagogy of how different forms of knowledge are relatble to each other and can be exemplified within the classroom. In my classroom, I would be able to use the six models of teaching in my lessons. I believe that it is extremely important for students to learning in different ways, that allow them to learn new skills and build on prior skills that they might already have.
